Why I choose Crossfit

Before 2012, physical fitness was not a priority in my life, but due to certain events, I decided to make crucial life changes.   These changes led me to running and signing up for a half marathon.  While visiting the half marathon expo, I was able to connect with JP, the owner of Crossfit Ganbatte, who then convinced me to take an intro class.  I was looking to try something new since I became complacent with running.  After experiencing my first crossfit class, I knew I was hooked. There was something about the battle between you and your own mind and knowing you can always come back the next day and do better, which brought me back to class day after day.


After reaping the rewards of crossfit, I decided I wanted to share my experience and take my fitness to a higher level by getting my Crossfit Trainer Certificate.   I wanted to have a better understanding of technique, form, programming, theory and different methods of coaching to help other athletes build a solid foundation. 


Coaching at Ganbatte has been quite a rewarding experience.  I’ve enjoyed seeing progress in different individuals through such a supportive coaching staff and community.  As a coach and athlete, I ‘ve learned that doing your best is not always about being at 100% everyday, but about showing up, doing the work and giving it your all that day.
