What brought you to Ganbatte and what keeps you here?

My friends brought me to Ganbatte, and realizing that I needed to get myself in shape for my daughter Rebecca is what keeps me here. I want to be able to set a good example for my daughter. Ganbatte is a second home for my family. Being able to work out with friends and having my wife and daughter to push me while I'm getting an amazing workout is priceless..


If you can name any benchmark WOD after yourself, what would it be?

5 Rounds

10 Deadlifts (225lbs) - I'm strong with deadlifts

15 Burpee Box jumps - I'm efficient with this movement

20 situps - I need to work on and get faster with.


What have you learned inside the box that you've been able to apply outside the box?

Never give up…I know it sounds cliché but Crossfit challenges you both mentally and physically. It is amazing what you are able to accomplish by pushing yourself to complete a WOD or completing a difficult task at work or in life.


Which skill would you most like to have mastered in time for the Zombie invasion?

Double Unders!!! Not sure how useful it would be in a zombie invasion but it is one element that takes Patience, Timing and Control.


What's your proudest Crossfit memory?

1. Becoming part of the 4 wheel club.

2. During our Fight Gone Bad event! I was 6 reps short from my goal, I prepared for it and I did my best which is what our gym stands for. That event also inspired my wife to be part of the gym. Made her understand why I crossfit a lot and why I love coming to Ganbatte.
